Members of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) hosted a group of four researchers, led by Dr. Shiping Mao, from the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development (IAED) of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) from Dec. 10-15, 2018. The Chinese Academy of Ag Sciences is the partner for the ISU China Ag Center housed under CARD and led by Dermot Hayes. During their visit, researchers and administrators from CAAS and ISU discussed the next steps for the collaboration between the two institutions, and met with Joe Colletti, interim dean and David Acker, associate dean of CALS.
The Iowa hosts also took the visitors to tour a farm and the Hardin County Extension office to learn about the U.S. and Iowa agriculture.
