Boyle winner of Lyon Scholarship

Trey BoyleTrey Boyle, MSAE student, is the winner of the Barbara and Thomas Lyon Scholarship for the Study of Agricultural Cooperatives for 2019-2020. The $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a promising graduate student in the Department of Economics who demonstrates an interest in the study of cooperative business enterprises, and agricultural cooperatives in particular.

The $5,000 gift made by the Lyons represents their desire to provide incentives and recognition for a currently enrolled economics graduate student pursuing a career in cooperative business enterprise.

"Trey is an MSAE student interested in agricultural finance and plans to work for a lender in the Farm Credit System, a financial cooperative that primarily serves agriculture. His research interests are in understanding the role of regulatory requirements in the competitiveness of credit unions and banks community banks," said Keri Jacobs, MSAE program director.
