Bobby Richey at Econ ClubMinister Counselor for Agricultural Affairs of the U.S. Embassy, Beijing Bobby Richey ('86 MS economics) was guest speaker at the Feb. 9 virtual Econ Club meeting.

Approximately 90 Econ Club members and department alumni logged in to hear Richey speak about his many roles within the U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service at the U.S.D.A. since 1986. Richey earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics from Texas Tech University in 1984 and a Master of Science in economics from Iowa State University in 1986. He grew up on his family’s cotton farm near Lubbock, Texas. He currently has the rank of Career Minister in the Foreign Service of the United States. He is married to U.S. Army LtC. (ret.) Larry Allen.
