Jeff Rowe ('95 ag business), president, global seeds, North America and China, for Syngenta, spoke to a small audience at the Princeton (IL) Area Chamber of Commerce Ag Appreciation Breakfast in March, 2018.
“I have always been very proud to be from the farm. Growing up on the farm teaches you a lot of great things. It teaches you the value of hard work. It teaches you the value of teamwork. It teaches you the value of legacy, the importance of having a long-term business,” he said.
“I always tell students, if you get the chance to study or live or travel outside the U.S., you should. It is a great, great learning experience to be able to see the world. The rest of the world is going to have a much bigger impact on the U.S. moving forward. It’s just the demographics of the rest of the world, and we need to do a better job understanding the rest of the world,” he said.
