The Office of Admissions Early Outreach is seeking faculty, staff, graduate students and/or local teachers who are interested in teaching summer camp courses for talented and gifted students (entering grades 3-11 in Fall of 2019). We are looking for individuals with a passion for their field of study and the skills to work with high ability elementary, middle or high school students. With a variety of age ranges and opportunities, we hope you’ll consider teaching an engaging, hands-on course for us this summer, and have fun while doing it!
Proposal submission deadline: Jan. 18, 2019
We are currently looking for exciting and interactive new classes, particularly in the STEM fields, to add to our program. Our students are bright learners and do best in hands-on environments. Please consider proposing a course by January 18, 2019 and/or passing this email along to others. This is a great opportunity to showcase your department, interests, and areas of expertise. Past topics have included psychology, engineering, computer coding, forensics, creative writing, wilderness and ecology, biology, physics, and more.
Instructors are monetarily compensated for their time in the classroom. More information, including program dates and wages can be found on the proposal submission page. To submit a proposal or to find more information, visit: Instructor Proposal
Courses will be reviewed and instructors will be notified if their course has been selected to be offered by mid-February.
We hope you’ll join us for a fun-filled summer! To learn more about our program, please visit opptag.iastate.edu.
Please contact our office with any questions and thank you for considering!
