Summer orientation completed

The Undergraduate Programs Office completed freshman 2-day summer orientation sessions in June.

Ninety-four freshmen Ag Business students attended. In addition, five more students plan to attend August orientation. 

Eleven states were represented: Iowa (72), Minnesota (10), Illinois (10), Colorado (2), Texas (2) Wisconsin (2), Missouri(2), California (1), Idaho (1), Indiana (1), Ohio (1).  Thirty-one percent were female.  Thirty-three Ag Business transfer students are currently registered for the fall, although additional students are expected to register throughout the summer.

Six freshmen attended orientation for Economics. Four were from out of state.  Two of the six were female.

The Undergraduate Programs Office along with the Ag Business Learning Community peer mentors, the Ag Business Club officers, and the Econ club officers will host a welcome picnic on August 21st to welcome all new students to campus.
