Application Deadlines

Graduate programs begin Fall semester only. Applications for fall enrollment should be completed by January 20 . International applicants are encouraged to complete applications sooner to allow the processing of immigration forms.

Applications received by January 20 will be given priority consideration for assistantship funding.

The most frequent reason a qualified applicant fails to secure financial assistance is that the complete application is not submitted in one package, in a timely manner, and does not include photocopies of GRE, transcripts, and TOEFL (if applicable) scores.

To avoid problems, applicants should take the GRE as early as possible. Information on the GRE can be obtained by visiting their website at http://www.gre.org/ttindex.html . The Institution Code for Iowa State University is R6306. The Major Field Code is 0101 for ag economics and 1801 for economics.
