The Iowa State Industrial Relations Center

The Industrial Relations program was established in June 1966 by the Iowa Board of Regents to bring together faculty and students interested and involved in research and education in industrial relations. The Center encourages interdisciplinary study of labor market issues that have national and international implications, but it has a particular interest in encouraging research on labor market issues facing Iowa and the Midwest.

The Industrial Relations Center provides an interdisciplinary, graduate-level educational experience that prepares graduates for careers in human resource management and labor relations, in the private or public sector.  The Center also seeks to prepare a smaller number of graduates for doctoral study in a human resource management related field.  The Center serves as the primary mechanism for maintaining close ties among students, faculty, and practicing human resource professionals.
