Note: These two countries will be key influences on world grain supply-demand balance for 2003-04 and U.S. corn exports, due to serious weather problems in the winter and spring of 2003 (Especially in Ukraine, where wheat production is projected to be down 65 % from 2002). The Ukraine and neighboring republics are major feed wheat exporters. China often is the world’s No. 2 or No. 3 corn exporter, after the U.S. and Argentina.
