Faculty Activity Reporting

January 11, 2017
News

The three Regent universities are participating in a study of faculty activity. All faculty members at the three universities will be asked to complete an online reporting form describing how they spend their work time during a randomly assigned one-week period during the semester. This information (which will be reported in the aggregate only to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa) will help the universities educate external constituencies about the wide range of important activities that comprise faculty responsibilities.

Please keep an eye out for the e-mail with instructions for completing the form. Each week over eight weeks of the spring semester (starting in two weeks and excluding spring break and the week prior), a different group of faculty will receive those instructions in an e-mail from the three university provosts and Faculty Senate presidents.

Please complete the reporting form promptly and accurately. As you know, higher education in general is under increased scrutiny, and this documentation of our many and varied activities will be a critical resource in the effort to help Iowans understand the value you bring to the state.
