Notes:

Sounds good to me.

Who has the responsibility to provide you with these rights?

What is your responsibility?

What if those who are assigned the responsibility to provide you with your “rights” don’t have the resources to do so?

Why do lobby groups try so hard to get their special interests viewed as “rights ?”

Suppose we add to the list of “rights” the right to receive at least a B in Economics 201.

Now suppose I grade on a curve. Under the traditional system, some people would get A’s and some F’s. Now that B’s are a right, however, I have to take a grade point away from those who receive A’s and give them B’s. But what happens when there is no longer any incentive to work hard for an A, and there are not enough A’s go tax in order to assure that everyone gets a B?

In this case we need to implement a policy of grade inflation. Or better yet, simply do away with grades to assure that no one feels like they are a failure. Which, of course, assures that no one has any rewards from being a success.
