| Narrative: Dr. Lence has been an Assistant Professor of Economics at Iowa State University since 1993. Dr. Lence received his Ph.D. in Economics in 1991 from Iowa State University, majoring in Agricultural Economics and minoring in Statistics. Prior to his current position, he was a Research Associate in the Trade and Agricultural Policy Division of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development. In addition, Dr. Lence has worked as a grain market analyst at the Argentine Grain Board and taught agricultural marketing in the M.Sc. program at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Dr. Lence's research spans the areas of risk management, commodity markets, financial markets, agricultural finance, and agricultural marketing. He has published extensively in numerous prestigious journals, including the Journal of Finance, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Review of Agricultural Economics, and Journal of Futures Markets. |
