| Narrative: A native of Mercer County, Ohio, Leisa Boley was raised on a Chester White hog and grain farm where she was active in 4-H. She holds a B.S. in Agriculture and an M.S. in Agricultural Education as well as a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University. Prior to entering law school, Leisa worked for ten years in agriculture in Ohio and Texas. Her career included positions with the Departments of Agriculture in both states. In Ohio, she assisted in the implementation of a new grain warehousing law that created an indemnity fund. Upon passing the bar in 1994, Leisa opened a private practice in Columbus, Ohio which represents many agricultural clients statewide. In 1996, OSU Extension retained her to provide legal education services to the Department of Agricultural Economics. She is a member of the of the Ohio State Bar Association Agricultural Law Section, The Columbus Bar Association Agricultural Law Committee and the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association. |
