Bruce Babcock is an associate professor of economics at Iowa State University and Head of the Resource and Environmental Policy Division of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development. Professor Babcock received his economics training in California, with his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of California at Davis and his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. His previous academic position was an assistant professor at North Carolina State University, where he was the tobacco and peanut extension economist. Professor Babcock has published widely in the areas of risk management in agriculture and agricultural and environmental policy.
