NCR-SARE Announces 2012 Graduate Student Grant Call for Proposals

The 2012 North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (NCR-SARE) Graduate Student Grant Call for Proposals is now available online at http://www.northcentralsare.org/Grants/Apply-for-a-Grant

Graduate students enrolled at colleges or universities in the North Central Region can submit proposals for up to $10,000 to fund sustainable agriculture projects that will be part of their educational programs. NCR-SARE expects to fund about 15 projects in the twelve-state North Central Region.

Sept. 18 deadline for funding opportunity for doctoral candidates and postdocs

This is a gentle reminder that the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is accepting applications for the 2011 Employment and Training Research Paper Program. ETA seeks to fund research proposals from accomplished doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers, who can be U.S. citizens, residents or non-U.S. citizens who are in the U.S. legally (e.g., with a visa).

$20,000 USDOL Academic Grant

U.S. Department of Labor Announces 2011 Employment and Training Research Paper Program. The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (ETA) invites applications from doctoral candidates and postdoctoral candidates for its 2011 Employment and Training Research Paper Program. ETA plans to make awards for up to $20,000 for seven months to produce original research projects, which lead to publications in peer-reviewed journals. Applicants can come from any discipline.

Central Bank of Turkey -- Summer Internship Program 2011

The Central Bank of Turkey is currently accepting applications for the 2011 summer internship program. Applications must be received no later than  May 20, 2011. The purpose of the program is to attract candidates who would like to conduct research on macroeconomic and/or financial aspects of the Turkish economy. A typical summer internship lasts 6 to 12 weeks and takes place sometime in between June and September.

Deadline May 31 for Iowa Pork Foundation Fellowship Applications

Thanks to the generosity of the Iowa Pork Foundation, the ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is pleased to announce a graduate fellowship in the amount of $2500. This fellowship is designed to provide support to a student studying at the MS or PhD level in the ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences who is conducting thesis or dissertation research related to the pork industry.
