Coordinator for student IT workshop series needed

The computer committee is looking for a graduate student to coordinate IT workshop series in Fall 2012. Responsibilities include teaching an introductory workshop on departmental computer resources for graduate students, locating students willing to teach other workshops in the series (topics include Matlab, R, Stata, Gauss, etc. -- at the coordinator's discretion; these students are paid on hourly basis), and managing logistics of the series. Compensation is at the regular 1/2 TA rate (including tuition, benefits and regular TA salary). Contact oz9a@iastate.edu for details.

Sustainable Systems MS at Rochester Institute of Technology

Golisano Institute for Sustainability (GIS) at Rochester Institute of Technology is accepting applications for September 2012 admission to the Sustainable Systems M.S. The UNI College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (CSBS) organizes an annual student research conference for both graduate and undergraduate students engaged in research related to the social and behavioral sciences. The conference provides the opportunity for students to present their research, exchange ideas, learn about different disciplines, and meet students from different departments.
