PURPOSE: to solve critical organic agricultural issues, priorities, or problems through the integration of research and extension activities.
The program funds high priority research and extension projects that will enhance the ability of producers and processors who have already adopted organic standards to grow and market high quality organic agricultural products. See the guidelines for the 8 legislatively-defined goals. Project types include (1) integrated project proposals (standard or continuation grants; 2-4 years) and (2) conference and analytical proposals (1 year).
