Nominations for Garfield Award Due June 22

Research!America is proud to announce a call for nominations for the 11th annual Garfield Economic Impact Award. Established in 2002, this annual award recognizes outstanding research demonstrating the economic impact of medical and health research, including research-based innovations in the medical or health care delivery arena. Founding support for the Garfield Award was provided by the Eugene Garfield Foundation. A grant from Merck & Co., Inc. in 2010 supports the Garfield Award and the tradition of extending an honorarium of $10,000 for the winning publication.

NCR-SARE Announces New Timeline for Research and Education Grant Program

The North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NCR-SARE) program will implement a new, shorter timeline for its Research & Education (R&E) Grant Program this year (2013 grant cycle). The next R&E Call for Preproposals will be issued in August 2012, with preproposals due November 10, 2012. Awards will be announced in August 2013.
