United Way Update

As of October 14, ISU and Ames Lab employees had pledged $148,000 (58 percent) of the university goal of $255,000 in the 2005 United Way campaign. For more information on this years campaign, please visit the web site._x000d_

Fee Increase for Lost Keys

Effective November 1, 2005, Iowa State University will assess a fee of $20.00 for the replacement of each lost key. Deb Thornburg in room 260 can assist you in comparing your keys against the university records so you can pay for any unaccounted for keys prior to November 1.

Kliebenstein Receives Award

Jim Kliebenstein and thirteen others received the American Society of Agricultural Engineers' ASAE Blue Ribbon Award for outstanding entry in the 2005 Educational Aids Competition.

Retirement Celebration for Dr. Stanley Johnson

There will be a retirement celebration for Dr. Stanley Johnson on Friday, November 4, from 3-5 pm in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union. A short program will begin at 4:30 pm with Peter Orazem as the master of ceremonies.

Flu Shot Clinic for Faculty and Staff

Flu shots will be given to faculty and staff November 2-18, weekdays only, from 10 am-4 pm in room 205 TASF (Technical and Administrative Service Facility). Due to a scheduling conflict no shots will be given on November 8. Limited parking is available. Occupational Medicine staff will give the immunizations, which are provided by ISU at no cost to employees. Flu Mist won't be offered this year. For information call 4-0874.

Deceased Alumni

Robert Summy passed away on Sept. 13, 2005. He received a B.S. degree in ag economics in 1969.
