Eddie Howard Kaiser passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006. Dr. Kaiser received his Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Iowa State University in 1979.

Silvia Secchi and Steve Roach have a new baby girl! Eloisa Ethel Secchi Roach arrived on Saturday, March 4, at 2:41 p.m. weighing 7 lbs., 7 oz. and 20 inches long.

Library Catalog Upgrade Scheduled for March 15

Outstanding Choices Article for 2005

Maureen Kilkenny and Robert Jolly will receive the Outstanding Choices Article for 2005 for their article entitled "Are Rural Credit Markets Competitive? Is There Room for Competition in Rural Credit Markets?" The award will be presented at the AAEA annual meetings this summer in Long Beach, California.

English Short Course

Agriculture Communications Service Award

The Formula for Success publication won a Gold Award for Excellence in Writing: Science/Technology/Research at the CASE District VI annual meeting held on Jan. 24 in St. Louis. The publication was based on research conducted by Wallace Huffman and commissioned for national use by ESCOP.

Congratulations to Chih-Chen Liu & Wei-Chun Hsu on the birth of a daughter. Ruth Anne Liu was born on Friday, January 13, 2006. She weighed 8 pounds.
