The Agricultural Business Learning Community is the recipient of the 2009 Learning Community Outstanding Innovation Award for the monthly "Freakonomics" common reading lunch discussions. Those responsible for its success are Ebby Luvaga, Arne Hallam, Dermot Hayes, Russell McCullough, Peter Orazem, and Carol Elliott.

U.S. Postal Service Announces Rate Increase

On May 11, the price of a first-class stamp will increase from 42 cents to 44 cents, and prices for other services will change as well. If you anticipate having mailings around this time, you might want to send them before the increase goes into effect._x000d_

VISIONS Magazine

In order to reduce paper waste and limit cost, VISIONS magazine is no longer being sent to all faculty and staff as in the past. Instead, copies are being sent to offices and units across campus where they are to be shared. To look at the latest issue (spring 2009), stop by 260 Heady._x000d_

It's a boy!

Congratulations to Meghan O'Brien and Aaron Cluver on the birth of a son. Keller Michael arrived on Friday, March 27, at 8:24 a.m. weighing 7 pounds, 12.2 ounces.

Spring Break

During spring break, March 16-20, there will be no classes. The main office, 260-266 Heady, will be open from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 8, at 2 a.m., so turn your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed on Saturday.

University Offices Closed January 19

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, university offices will be closed and classes recessed Monday, January 19.
