Check out our new archive of undergrad student stories, located in the undergrad tab of our department website. The purpose of these stories is to feature outcomes for students who have majored in economics, ag business, or business economics, showing the compelling reasons for why these majors work. Look for updated stories in the coming months, and if you think there's a student that we've missed, please contact ksenty@iastate.edu. Alpha Kappa Delta Auction

The 2013 Alpha Kappa Delta auction will occur on Wed Feb 20th, Thu Feb 21st, and Fri Feb 22nd from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in room 311 East Hall.

Donations include Godinger Crystal, Blenko Glass, framed pictures, items from Big Sky Bread Company, jackets, collectable rocks, and many other items. Please stop by to check out what is available.

Money raised from the auction will go towards the AKD scholarship, which will be given out at the banquet in April.

Congratulations to MIyoung Oh and Jiwoong Kim on the birth of their daughter

The department would like to congratulate Miyoung Oh and Jiwoong Kim on the birth of their baby girl Emma Hamim Kim!

Emma was born on Thursday, January 31 at 5:25 AM. She is 19 1/2 inches and 6 lbs. 6 oz, and joins the family as their second child to brother Isaac.

Well wishes and good health to the growing family.

New student IT technicians

Two new student IT technicians - Jared Hetzler and Sarah Harrington - are taking the place of Tan Nguyen, who is out for the semester for an internship. They will cover the following responsibilities: printing problems (toner cartridge replacements, jammed paper), software installation, thin client access for grad students, equipment checkout, and basic troubleshooting. Please take note of their contact information and hours.
