New baby boy for Ann Johanns

Ann Johanns, Extension & Outreach program specialist, gave birth to Spencer Joseph Johanns on May 28 at 7:37am. He weighs 9 lbs 5.5 oz., and is 21 inches long. Congratulations from the department on the latest addition to the Johanns family!

A baby girl for Pan Liu!

Department of Economics graduate student Pan Liu and her husband Zhe Li are the parents of a new baby girl, born on May, 8th, at 6:32 am. Jingying Li is 6 lbs. 3 oz. and 19 1/2 inches.

Congratulations to Pan and Zhe on the birth of their first child!

EGSA spring picnic

Undergrad research assistantship program

Applications are now being accepted for the 2013-2014 Undergraduate Research Assistantship (URA) Program. The URA program encourages outstanding juniors and seniors to pursue graduate study by offering them hands-on experience in a formal research environment. Participation in the URA Program assists students in making career decisions and in attaining information about graduate education and fellowships.
